What is Dysport?
As a neuromodulator, Dysport can eliminate frown lines (glabellar lines) and other dynamic wrinkles near the eyes and forehead by paralyzing or “freezing” the tiny muscles that create them. The Dysport serum is made with abobotulinumtoxinA in a way that makes it spread easily, so it’s a great option for larger treatment areas and for patients who want to see rapid results.

These treatments have similarities as they are both made with botulinum toxin type A, however, there are also specific differences. Due to its thick consistency, Botox is often used in cases where the treatment area is more focused since the serum typically stays close to the injection site. In contrast, Dysport is thinner in consistency and spreads well, so it can be used to treat larger areas and has a faster result onset, typically just two to three days.
